Sweden tote is back!

Vaja, quants dies sense publicar res! I és que entre vacances, encàrrecs i tesis el blog ha quedat una mica apartat... però ja estic aquí! :)

Avui us ensenyo un bolso que vaig fer a una amiga que feia molt que me'l demanava. És el model Sweden tote bag, que jo mateixa he dissenyat i amb el que vaig guanyar un premi de disseny a Ikea (podeu veure-ho AQUÍ). Ella el volia amb tons blaus, així que vaig fer servir una loneta de cotó com a tela principal i una de ratlles per a la part central. Què us sembla el resultat?

Wow, too many days without posting anything! With Easter break, some orders that I've got and thesis writing, the blog has been a bit forgotten... but finally I'm here! :)

Today I show you a bag that I made for a friend who was asking me for it for a while. It's the Sweden tote bag, a pattern that I designed and which with I won a design award at Ikea (you can see it HERE ). She wanted it in blue so I used a plain cotton canvas as the main fabric and a striped cotton canvas for the center part of the bag. What do you think about the result?

És una bossa molt pràctica, tant per la seva mida com pel seu disseny, amb una butxaca exterior i una interior. En aquest model, a diferència dels altres que ja havia fet (i que podeu veure AQUÍ) en comptes de posar entretela rígida entre el forro i l'exterior, hi vaig posar buata de cotó, i la veritat és que la textura encoixinada m'agrada potser més que la rígida de la entretela. Però això va a gustos, és clar! :)

It is a very useful bag because of its size and shape, with an interior and exterior pocket. In this model, unlike the others that I did before (which you can see HERE) instead of using semi-rigid interfacing between the lining and the exterior, I used cotton batting, and the truth is that I rather prefer the soft texture more than the rigid one. But this is everyone choice, of course! :)

Tots els tancaments són fets amb cremalleres metàl·liques, que queden molt més bé que les de plàstic, no trobeu? I la cinta té la mida justa tant per si te'l vols penjar a l'ombro com per si te'l vols creuar a l'esquena.

All the zippers are metal, which look pretty much better than plastic ones, don't you think? And the strap has the right length to hang it on your shoulder or back cross it.

Li vaig fer un detallet de regal, per agrair-li la seva paciència: un clauer a conjunt.

I also made her a little present, to thank her patience: a lanyard with the stripped fabric.
