i al facebook ja sabreu que he passat uns dies a Londres. És la tercera vegada
que visito aquesta ciutat i cada vegada em descobreix més coses i m’hi sento
més a gust. Aquest cop, però, jo ja anava ben preparada, i a part de les
atraccions turístiques, vaig fer una recerca de botigues de teles i manualitats
que volia anar a veure. Preparats per començar la ruta? :)

Suposo que molts ja coneixeu Liberty. Són
uns súper magatzems de luxe (com quasi tots els magatzems de Londres) on hi
venen de tot. Com un Corte Inglés però més chic. A la part de teles
tenen un assortit enorme de tots els dissenyadors britànics com Kaffe Fassett,
i també d’americans destacats com la dissenyadora Amy Butler. A més Liberty té
la seva pròpia col·lecció de teles i lonetes, que són fantàstiques.
Malauradament els preus són bastant prohibitius, i no solen baixar dels £24 per
metre (uns 28€/metre).

preu, has d’anar una mica més al sud de la ciutat, on trobareu la botiga de
teles Shaukat. Allà podreu trobar les lonetes de Liverty per £16/m (uns 19€/m).
El personal no és gaire amable, però per la rebaixa de preu val la pena
passar-hi.

Seguint amb la ruta, no podeu deixar de
passar pel carrer Berwick, on s’agrupen varies botigues de venda de teixits i
fornitures. A allà trobareu una delícia de botiga, Cloth House. Tenen una
varietat increïble de teles estampades a mà; però el millor de tot són les robes de lli que hi podreu trobar. Vaig estar molt MOLT temptada a comprar-ne per a fer-me
un bolso, però els preus (de £25/m en amunt) eren massa elevats. Però vaig
poder-ne fer unes quantes fotos per ensenyar-vos-els i que us caigui la baba
com a mi :D
Going on with the route, you can't miss to go through Berwick Street, where you will find several fabrics and trimmings shops. Once there, you have to enter to a delightful shop, Cloth House. They have an incredible variety of hand- printed fabrics, but best of all are the linen fabrics that you will find in there. I was so SO tempted to buy one of them for my next handbag, but the prices ( from £25 /m and above) were too high. Instead I took some pictures to show them to you, so you can make your mouth watering like me :D

Al barri de Shoreditch, en mig del mercat de les flors, us trobareu amb BeyondFabrics, una botigueta on tenen de tot i més per al patchwork. Un bon assortit
de teles, cintes, botons i eines per a fer patchwork. I aquí sí que vaig
picar...
